The Kemtrak NBP007 NIR backscatter photometer utilizes a revolutionary new and patented measurement technology that enables extremely high suspended solids measurement. This technology is particularly applicable to dairy applications as it can accurately measure milk fat samples up to 60% concentration.

Traditional turbidity based optical measurement instruments lack resolution and stop working at approximately 1% milk fat due to the extremely high optical density of the sample. This limitation is overcome with the NBP007 and for the first time the operator can monitor and have complete control over their dairy processes.

Technology Used

  • The Kemtrak NBP007 utilizes a robust hygienic TriClamp process connection that is designed to withstand the temperatures, pressures and chemicals present in CIP cycles. Fiber optics are used to pipe light to the measurement point and back and the measurement probe contains no electronics or serviceable parts. The TriClamp measurement probe is suitable for all pipe diameters from DN25 / 1" using a suitable pipe bend adapter.
